Officials with Ohio Valley Medical Center along with Ronnie Green announced that the 10th annual Debbie Green Memorial 5K Run/Walk for Leukemia will be presented by Ohio Valley Medical Center.
The Debbie Green Memorial 5K Run/Walk for Leukemia, slated for August 4th, has become know as “the race for a reason”, benefiting children and adults that have leukemia. The race is named for Race Director Ron Green’s sister who died of the disease in 1972.

“Ohio Valley Medical Center is very honored to present the 2007 Debbie Green Memorial 5K Run/Walk for Leukemia,” said Brian Felici, President and CEO of OVMC. “The race and all its events are an important part of the awareness and fight against Leukemia.”

OVMC has been part of the annual race for several years providing sponsorship support as well as assistance with the race through CentreTown Fitness. Proceeds of the event will benefit local recipients who suffer from Leukemia. The recipient will be announced immediately following the race.

"I’m very excited about having Ohio Valley Medical Center as a title sponsor to the Debbie Green 5K," said race director Ron Green. "I think it’s a win-win situation for everybody involved and is a good fit in the overall mission of the race."

Ohio Valley Medical Center, located in Wheeling West Virginia, and East Ohio Regional Hospital, located in Martins Ferry Ohio, is a 340 bed combined organization providing quality primary and tertiary healthcare to the Ohio Valley.
