OVMC Auxiliary Holds Annual Meeting

The Auxiliary of Ohio Valley Medical Center presented the hospital with a check for $25,000 towards a $75,000 financial pledge for renovations and expansions at OVMC’s Hillcrest Behavioral Health Services. A year ago the Auxiliary completed a $100,000 pledge for patient room renovations and other improvement projects in OVMC’s West building. The new financial commitment is the result of Auxiliary and Twig sponsored fundraising activities.
On June 22nd the OVMC Auxiliary will host “The Buffettman” at Wheeling Park’s Sonneborn Shelter, beginning at 6:00pm. Tickets for this event can be purchased by calling Kathy Fry at (304) 234-1732. All proceeds benefit the OVMC Auxiliary. Sponsorship of this event is made possible through The Health Plan of the Upper Ohio Valley.

New Officers were installed by Linda Staddon, President of the Auxiliary of the West Virginia Hospital Association. The OVMC Auxiliary Officers include: Amiee Stern, President; Ginger Aulick, President-Elect; Alfredda Lollini, Vice President; Nancy Luna, Secretary; and Gina Smith, Treasurer. OVMC also welcomed two new Auxiliary members, Carrie McKenzie and Susan Turner.

Established in 1892 the OVMC Auxiliary fulfills the traditional role of volunteer and provides financial assistance to the hospital. The Auxiliary currently has over 300 members.

Ohio Valley Medical Center, located in Wheeling West Virginia, and East Ohio Regional Hospital, located in Martins Ferry Ohio, is a 340 bed combined organization providing quality primary and tertiary healthcare to the Ohio Valley. Ohio Valley Health Services and Education Corporation is the integrated health care delivery system comprising of the two hospitals, River Health Enterprises and Family Service-Upper Ohio Valley.
